It is possible to add ram beyond 32GB on Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5

I am helping my friend to build a extreme gaming pc. There are three nvidia gpu with 3tB storage and AMD FX8350 processor. Right-now we had decided to use 16GB ram. But I just want to ask is it possible to add beyond 32GB. I am sure this will be the most extreme system. We have two sticks of 8GB each and there are two m ore slots. I had seen Kingston selling a single stick of 16GB Ram. If it works then we can buy two more.

The board only supports 32GB of ram. Beyond that i will not identify anything. Why you need so much ram. I think 16GB is also more than enough. You just need around 3 to 4GB of physical memory when you are playing games. That's it. I am having a Core i5 system with Nvidia 650Ti gpu and 16GB ram. The system works amazing. It is fast and offer great gaming output. I do not think you will need that much ram.

For using really high amount of memory you need a different board. Whenever you buy always check the specs properly. I think maximum you can add is 64GB of ram. not more than that. This makes your system very expensive. If you are spending this much amount then also buy a liquid cooler. So that your cpu can stay cooler while using it. And buying branded desktop is better because you get everything properly optimized.

You can find such high configuration in Mac system. The new Mac Pro will have 32GB ram module that makes a ultra fast system. Apple is also having some models that has 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of ram module. This kind of system are ideal for video editing. For windows platform I think 64GB is more than enough. But that also will demand a different board. Some very extreme edition.
