How to change Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H AC97 audio to AC97

I Have installed Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H AC97 in my new rig and I want to know if I can change its audio to AC97 as it is supporting HD audio by default. Actually I have a case with AC97 front audio and want to use front audio ports for the sound. Anyone? Any idea?

Have you connected front panel connector of the case to the motherboard header? It will be in the bottom left hand corner. I also wanted to know if your rear speaker outlets are working??? Also make sure that you have enabled audio in Bios. Juts check out these things and revert back to me if you need further help, best of luck.

Yes I have connected front panel connector of the case to the motherboard header and I have enabled audio in Bios as well. The rear speaker outlets are working fine and I don’t have issue in getting sound from the same. I have checked out bios, I’ve checked out control panel but I don’t see any setting for switching from HD audio to AC97. I am not sure but it seems as if Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H AC97 doesn’t support AC97, let me know if you come across any update on this matter as I am just running out of ideas now. Any help regarding this will be highly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I guess AC97 functionality might be disabled in your case. In order to do so enable it open your “HD audio manager” > Click on “Audio I/O” tab > Click on Tool icon > check “Disable Front panel jack detection” option click on Ok and you are done.
