Best board for AMD FX8120 and Radeon HD 6950

I’ll be building a new rig, I have decided to get AMD FX8120 and Radeon HD 6950 but I am not able to make out the best board for them. I want to get a cheap one because I won’t be doing any kind of overclocking, so suggest me a suitable one. Help regarding this will be appreciated.

They are quite cheap and you will easily get them on ebay or newgg.

If you want to get a cheap one than either go for “Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 AMD 880G (Socket AM3+) Motherboard “ or “ASUS M5A88-M AM3+ AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard”. You will get them under $99 but you will have to check out for their availability. I have used Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 previously and it had worked great for me, if you won’t try any kind of overclocking on it than it will last longer.

Rather than getting AMD FX8120, I will suggest you to get i5 2400 and Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H. I think combination of these two will do better compared to FX8120+ GA-B75M-D3H. You can get both between 15k and get a video card that you find best according to your budget. Radeon HD 6950 is a good card but “HIS ATI Radeon HD7850 ICEQX 2GB DDR5 H785QN2G2M” will be a better choice. You will be able to run latest game and even do some overclocking in case you find a need.
