My system is configured on the ASUS M2N-X motherboard. I have installed the AMD Sempron. I know that it is not the faster processor but I had to choose this due to my limited budget option. But now I would like to install a new AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor on it. NewEgg says this processor is out of stock and there is limited chance of get restocked. So I don’t have much time to wait for it to get restocked. Luckily I have got AMD Athlon 64 X2 from my fried and he sold me the process for half price. Now the problem I don’t know whether my motherboard is compatible for this processor or not. The product page shows as AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ with AM2 89W Dual-Core Processor but there is no full description about the compatibility. What you think?
