I am just hoping that someone have answer for this question. My computer is previously configured with Asus P5B-E motherboard but running on older RAM which I took out from my friend’s PC. Now I have installed a new set of 2 GB kit (2 x 1GB) of Kingston Hyper X PC8500 (1066 MHZ) DD2 RAM. Then boot up the computer and enter into BIOS to manually configure the speed (1066 MHZ) and timing (5-5-5-15) consistent with the memory specs. At last I tried to change the voltage to 2.2 but in BIOS it allowed me to change only to 2.15 v or 2.25. It seems to quite odd. I tried the memory on 2.25 but the system was instable. The PC reboots sporadically while playing games and with some other apps in Windows. I can’t say if it is PSU problem but seems like it is lacking in power. What should I need to bring back the system stable and avoid random restarting? At the end I will try memory at 5-5-5-15 timing at 899 MHZ at 2 v. let see if that works well.
