Z68MA-G45 is not booting on Windows7

I am using windows as my operating system and the problem I am facing now is that on the initial boot the windows startup page is indicating that the Setup is updating Registry Settings and then it suddenly it starts rebooting and it is continuing the same every time but the Windows install is able to run to completion. Is there anyone who have faced this type of problem before and has an idea about this and can help me out as well. Any suggestion regarding this will be appreciated.

Even I am facing the exact problem and by now I have tried the possible solution that I could have but nothing seems to be helping. My system information is as followed:

    • Mobo: MSI|Z68MA-G45 (B3) Z68 LGA1155 R BIOS v17.0
    • RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu 2GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) (x2 => 4GB)
    • Video: Z68 chipset IGP
    • HDD's: Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
    • DVD: LG USB 2.0 external DVD/CD R-W combo drive
    • OS: Win 7 Pro SP1 32bit

    Any help will be appreciated.

Just check if your ssd drive ensure the below task:
    • IT is getting identified in BIOS
    • Windows setup can partition/format and REpartition/REformat without error
    • You have same difference with a single Seagate Barracuda drive in system
    • The IDE or AHIC settings do not make any difference

You can also try doing the below process:
    • Flash the BIOS to v17.2
    • clear the CMOS.
    • Reinstall the Windows 7

And then check if there is any difference or not but if the above does not help then I think that there might be some problem with the drivers or some problem on the board graphics. Just check the above method and let me know if it works or not.

I will suggest you to try out a test with the a single ram stick in the blue primary dimm slot because it might be because a 300W PSU might not be able to provide the required power to the system power and so if you are having a spinner then just try to test the HDD as well and I will like to suggest you to USB Flashing Tool in the future as it is the safest method. If you are not able to solve it by trying all this than I will suggest you to contact the MSI Tech Support. If this problem would have been raised by other people as well than they would have surely come up with a solution for it. Best of luck.

What you can try is test with a discrete card with graphics set to PEG in the UEFI/BIOS and just check if it works and if it works then you can install the Intel graphics driver and then test it again with the IGD setting and the onboard graphics as well .I will also like to inform you that for the IDE or AHCI Mode you should set it to the Mode you have previously set it when you have loaded the os. I mean that if it was set on IDE and you are setting it on AHCI then you won’t be able to boot and if it was set on AHCI and you are setting it on IDE then you won’t be able to boot as well. So just make sure that you set it on what you have set. Just try it out and see if it helps. Hope that helps.

As you are using a slim PSU then the whole power is for low power running so I will suggest you to test the following:
    • Test the whole system outside the chassis.
    • Test with a more powerful PSU.

I don’t assure that it will solve your problem but I think that it will make your problem narrow at least.

You can check the Turbo-Cool 400 1U-E but I am not sure if the dimension will be suitable as per your chassis.Just look at it feature below:
    • 400W Continuous at 50C
    • EPS1U v2.1 Compliant
    • Dual 28-CFM ball bearing fans
    • Meets 80-Plus Certification Criteria
    • 3-Year Warranty and Tech Support
