Unable to boot Corsair CMT12GX3M6A1866C9 with xmp profile

When I had one end connected to my machine 990x RAM was functioning with XMP profile, nevertheless when I switched back to the extreme 965, does not start with the XMP profile. Am I missing something? I'd like to run my gt at full speed again so any help would be greatly appreciated. As a side note, the motherboard is the same for both the processor and the only change in the system is the processor. The machine itself is running in the configuration of values exterior the voltage changes that are complete to the memory for the XMP profile.

Did you clear the CMOS after you changed the processor? Do you have the latest BIOS? Did you load set up defaults BEFORE enabling XMP?

Yes, I have vacant the CMOS a few times and had entered the settings you necessitate, XMP and raid and shutdown of devices that do not in point of fact use. As I used bios 0702, which worked with my 990x at speeds xmp, and also just updated the most new BIOS with the identical consequences. Were loaded by default, sooner than changing things for what I desired. I actually am grateful for the help.

Can you tell me what the tensions are being installed in XMP enabled? It should be 1.65v.QPI / VTT voltage? It should be 1.35-1.45. If this is not at least 1.35v go ahead and put it there.

You could also try just out of XMP and set the voltages and time manually. Would be the same, but for some reason some of CPU / MB do not like the XMP profile, but setting it manually, the resolution for the few.

If all else fails try to reduce the frequency to 1600 MHz with the same tension and the times and see if it is stable.

Ok, so I just increased the 1.45v QPI / DRAM for your suggestion. (They have no QPI / VTT option, hope that their peers) and seems to work fine now. I tested the voltage of 1.35 and the system will blue screen on startup of windows, it was more than 1.25 then the default profile a. Any risk should be aware of or I'm good to go from here on out. Thanks again for your quick responses and helpful tips and I'm glad to have a backup to the rated speed of the memory.

Maybe pull the CPU and said that is exchanged and make sure you do not have the legs bent at the socket.

I apologize for the delay of one of my SSD. As for the relocation and reduction of speed to 1600 I still get blue screens. I set the voltage specification to 1600 as recommended.
