The generic answer would be 'the Phenom is better'. Until Bulldozer's architecture, the Phenom II remains as AMD's high end platform. It works really well to load and then run the high configuration games. If you want to play such kind of games then the best thing is to be use an Phenom II CPU onto it. This will be also provide the several types of compatibility with all of its excising system. As per the configuration you mentioned this processor based system is the best that can be really helpful for the gaming desktop pc.

I have experience about this issue and I must share my own experience with you. The AMD Phenom II isn't a good option today, go with the Athlon II X4 630. It makes sense to equip multi-core processors that works well with its own mentioned memory. Hence if you need to build the system with loading high specification video games, then this is the best processor for you. You can also check its number of reviews on the AMD official site. It help to you a lot.

You can use price issue to compare two processors. The AMD Phenom processor will not be cheaper than the other processor. Hence if you think related to the price then this is not the best processor. But the performance prospective this is the best processor for the gaming system. The other mentioned processor will be not much problematic on the gaming system. You can also use this for the online as well as video game.
