I'm planning ahead for a SB build in the next two months. I guess I'm looking at a P67 motherboard and I was watching the 2500 and 2600 CPUs. I will probably go with the 2500, it will be fast enough to what I'm doing, the economy makes sense, and I'm unlikely to be able to load the extra 4-wire most of the time. This brings me to the issue of 2500. I'm not a great overclocker. I value reliability over eeking out the last part of the speed. I know many people have rock solid OC settings but when I tried I meet a lot of side issues that I realized the motherboard are fads, but it still bothered me. I have experienced things like: hot restart does each power cycle or double instead of rebooting, after waking from sleep the CPU fan and chassis (connected to the motherboard) running on its slowest speed, regardless of the temperature readings, fans run at full speed, regardless of the readings, etc. what you guys think?
