    MSI 890FXA-GD70 BIOS versions 1.8 is not able to stay Stable

    Hello everyone I am using MSI 890FXA-GD70 mother board, I just recently udated my BIOS to Version 1.8. After updating BIOS I am facing stability issues with it. So I just wanted to know that is anyone there who is facing the same issues? When I was using it with BIOS version 1.8 I was not able to overclock. My system detail is written below.
    • CPU: - 1090T
    • GPU: - HIS ATI 4980
    • SSD: - Corsaid CTI28M225
    • OS: - Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

    When I was using BIOs version 1.7 it was very good so can anyone tell me what to do?

    Yes you are right; I have also face some issues regarding Stability. When I was using version 1.7 my power supply and memory detail was like this:

    Bclk = 230 * 17.5 = 4.025 GHZ
    CPU Volt = 1.45 v

    Memory = 1840 MHZ 8-8-8-20-1T at 1.651 v

    CPU NB = 2760 MHZ @ 1.30 v
    HT Link = 2760 MHZ
    when I was using this configuration in version 1.7 my system was running tremendously good, but by the time when I turn to version 1.8, it started give me some issues and stability problem. So I want to suggest you that just go back to version 1.7 again, as I have done the same thing. All the best.

    Re: MSI 890FXA-GD70 BIOS versions 1.8 is not able to stay Stable

    Yeah that’s true, even I am having the same problem, when I applied all the default setting in BIOS version 1.8 and set DDR V to 1.651, suddenly my system started to reboot again and again. After some when I got tired of watching this, finally I came back to version 1.7. I forgot to inform you that the system is working properly without overclock, if you try to do slight change in it, it will start giving you problem. So my suggestion is if you want to use Version 1.8 then don’t do any changes within it. Otherwise the choice is yours.

    Hey thanks you all for the reply, after so many solution I am very cleared with my opinion that I ll have to do now. Actually my problem was only related to stability of the Version 1.8 but after your suggestion I can conclude that you can use both the version very easily, yes there are some drawbacks in Version 1.8 as compared to version 1.7. if I tell you personally I am going with Version 1.7, because it give you your own choice that whatever you do with your System.
