Ripjaws DDR3 vs G Skill Sniper

Is there any difference between these other than a dissimilar heat spreader construction? Seems like timing, voltage, speed, etc are all mentioned as matching. The Sniper states its " made for for 1156 and AMD" while the Ripjaws is also scheduled as compatible with plenty of motherboard s using those .Does anyone has any sort of idea if the spreaders on the Sniper are lesser profile than Ripjaws? Seems like they are flat diagonally the top but there is no dimension in terms of tallness listed anywhere .

Yes, the guts ( pr you can say that IC chips) are dissimilar, but in general specs are the identical. They will function very alike. The RipJaws has more information/appraisal because the Sniper was just launched. The lower heatspreader is better for people with big coolers, but the majority can clear the RJ anyhow. They are compatible with essentially the whole thing out there. The spreaders are (approximately) as tall as the memory modules themselves, so no height issues here. They will function on any cooler with any cooler.

I looked at both the pairs , my first reaction 'feeling' is that they're the similar IC's, but the chipset dissimilarity worried me that maybe they are not 100% the same IC's. But only some people get LGA 775 RAM so it can be a straightforward oversight by G.SKILL. I would favor the Ripjaws first and foremost since the 'ridge' can cool the RAM better, on no matter which less than a 4X_GB high thickness and 1600 MHz+ speed it will not matter too much.

Heat management is forever significant for any PC builder and devotee. G.SKILL comprehends this worry, which is why every Ripjaws Series DIMM comes with a fashionable comb-like construction heat-spreader, which scatters heat by revealing it to cool air over a larger surface area and will appear goodin any case. These DIMMs also function at a cool 1.6V for improved interior temperatures and overclocking flexibility.
