At 3.5 GHz Phenom X4 achieved the 970 Black Edition, the maximum clock frequency, which is possible with the Black Edition is no problem because with the overclocking cope very well. Compared to the Phenom X4 965 Black Edition is so only slightly slower 3.4 GHz = 2.8 percent. Also new is the hexa-core Phenom II X6 1075T 3 GHz as well as his brother Athlon X2 560 Black Edition 3.3 GHz, there are also three new Athlons, which are offered with two, three and four cores. The processors are all running with a matching AM3 motherboard, where it at AM2 + will also be possible. This requires the appropriate BIOS update.

Let's all go, the changes proposed by the former founder of Sunnyvale are nothing revolutionary as it is simply speed-bump, that is to say an increase in operating frequency of its processors. Without new architecture, Bulldozer slated for 2011, we chose to dwell on the two new high-end processors offered by AMD Phenom X4 Black Edition 970 which comes with its quad-core 3.5 GHz and tease her equivalent of six cores, the Phenom II X6 1075T. In one case as in the other, whether or Phenom X4 Phenom II X6 chip architecture proposed by AMD is native. Understand by this that all the execution cores are combined on the same die, which is also the case with Intel's latest processors.

    Re: AMD Phenom II: X4 970 Vs X6 1055t

AMD has begun marketing new versions of Phenom II X6 1055T characterized by a level of consumption is within the maximum TDP of 95 watts, compared with a threshold of 125 watts previously indicated. The processor, internally indicated by the abbreviation HDT55TWFK6DGR, operates with a clock speed of 2.8 GHz, incorporates six core and an amount equal to 6 Mbytes L3 cache. The compatibility of this CPU with Socket AM3 motherboards, as well as those with Socket AM2 + that they are equipped properly updated bios. The following table summarizes the technical features of the AMD Phenom X4 and X6 II currently on the market. A value lower than the TDP of 125 watts of the first versions will allow, at least on paper, is a reduction in the consumption of the overall system is higher overclocking margins. The reduction in the maximum power consumption was achieved by a moderation in core voltage. At present, this processor is available in Japan at a price close to the current exchange rate at U.S. $ 245, it is conceivable that, once widespread in other regions will be offered at a price aligned to the version with maximum power of 125 watts.

Today, we analyze the AMD Phenom II X6 1055T. This product is positioned, at present, the offer with six-core desktop. During the review we will discover the interesting technologies implemented in this processor and the benefits it can offer. Advanced Micro Devices, better known as AMD, is an American multinational producer of semiconductors based in Sunnyvale, California. It is a world leader in the production of microprocessors for consumer, workstations and servers, integrated and discrete graphics chips after the merger with ATI chipsets as well.

The company also owns 21% of Spansion, a supplier of flash memory chips and 34% of The Foundry Company, abbreviated as TFC. Currently the production of chipsets and graphics chips, AMD is provided by TSMC, the largest foundry in Taiwan, while the production of CPU is largely entrusted to GLOBALFOUNDRIES. Recently, the new CEO of AMD has completely reorganized the assets of the company, introducing the so-called asset light that would be the division of the company into two parts, one dedicated to the design and testing of products (CPU and Chipset), and 'else to manufacture such products.
