A specific motherboard for Media Center

This is my second computer I am going to build now. I have selected all the components for configuration except motherboard due to some limitations. I am looking for a particular motherboard which have following features- 1066mhz FSB, LGA SCKT 775, 4XDDR2 800mhz, Vista 64Bit ready, 24 pin ATX. By seeing this requirement you may point out that I am going to build a media center PC. Is there any model of motherboard which has those things? If the motherboard has crossfire then it would be the plus for my configuration. Let me know if you have any choice.

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 is best and socket 775 motherboard embattled to latest Core 2 Duo relatives, since it is depends on the new-fangled Intel P965 chipset. One of the major compensation of this latest chipset is the illegal hold up in support of DDR2-1066/PC2-8500 RAM, quality nearby resting on this motherboard on or after Gigabyte. This motherboard presents single x16 PCI Express slot, three x1 PCI Express slots and three regular PCI slots. Going on the RAM part, Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 contain four DDR2-DIMM sockets or slots, sustaining equal to 8 GB authoritatively equipped DDR2-800.

If you required all the mentioned features in a single piece then I think you should go for MSI P35 Platinum motherboard. The features are as follows
    • Intel P35 Chipset
    • Holds Intel Core 2 Quad or Core 2 Duo processors
    • 4 x sockets DDR2 (upto 8GB )
    • 800/1066/1333MHz
    • CrossFire
    • 2 PCI Express x16 and 1x4
    • 2 PCI Express x1
    • 2 standard PCI
    • On-Board IDE/SATA
    • ATX 24-Pin power connector

The cost of this motherboard is nearly $160 and I hope that you can afford this price. Don’t wait now, take a look into this by yourself. The MSI P35D3 Platinum also has similar things.

I think that it is very hard to find all the things in a single motherboard. As you know there are vast model of boards which are coming to market day by day. I am no telling that it can’t be. This is because some sites may provide fake information and that time you will get in confusion. Sometimes you may get more than one choice with same price and features. This situation very frustrating for anyone to decide which one should they go for.

ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboard is a good motherboard for media center. These Motherboards outfitted by way of the nForce 650i SLI lose out on 1333MHz FSB hold up, EPP memory support, 28 PCI Express bus paths, 2 SATA ports, 2 USB2.0 ports and single Gigabit LAN port. I would like to speak the majority users can revolve a unsighted look at toward the omitted ports, and in any case a few will pay no attention to the lack of executive 1333MHz FSB and EPP RAM support, but the 28 absent PCI Express bus tracks noise type of grave.
