what is the release date of LGA 1155

I am thinking of buying a new processor for the gaming rig. I was waiting for the sandy bridge to release and so that's why i am waiting for the right time. I heard some rumors about the release date for the LGA 1155 processor which they claim to release in January 2011. Is it true? If it is released. So will the availability be right away or "Q1". I was thinking of getting a LGA 1156 processor but later hesitated when i heard about the release of LGA 1155 processor is round the corner.

The release will be round the corner. So it will be around December or January. So i will wait for the processor's review to come in around 3-4 months then i will think of going ahead with it. I just don't want to add the processor to my system without hearing about its review. So i would advice you to wait for some time after its release and then only think of buying it. Probably this will be a better option.

I am hearing about the release of the sandy bridge. I can find out the reason why people are so excited regarding the release of the 1155. In fact the working of the 1366 is good and there has been no issue's with the processor. It has a triple channel memory which makes it the best in the performance potential. It is the best if we compare it with the current best 1156 processor. Is the LGA 1155 dual channel memory?

I don't think so LGA 1155 is going to be faster than the other processors which are in the current market. The LGA 1366 is far much better than the LGA 1155. However the LGA 1155 is targeted to a different sets of the computers. It is mainly focused towards the main stream computers. LGA 1366 was targeted for the lower end performers. So that's why it is priced low with a on-die GPU and also some low end features.
