    i5 540M vs i7 620M for Lenovo t410

Lenovo has just changed its processor for not offering more than 540 i5 and i7 620, both of which are core duo. Apparently there were not so good performance for procs i7 formerly proposed (720, 820 and 920) and the i5 540 would be largely sufficient to run the latest games on a laptop 15 inches. Same thing with the graphics card GT240M. Basically, I made the short: It does no good to overpay components that are too powerful for a laptop, for results that are almost equivalent. Hence the changes in these last days, and lower prices. Can anyone confirm?

DT is equivalent to 240 m with a ati hd 4650 then I can not really tell you if let run all the latest games is possible but for some it will lower the resolution Anyway if u tried make me sign if you want a nice discount (it works until the end of the month from what the salesperson told me) but if you buy primarily for the play, I advice you to wait until after I can not tell you how long otherwise what is your budget.

I have no predetermined budget but less than 3000 dollars, sure. I want a laptop that makes running the latest demanding games (crysis warhead, Most Wanted 2), which allows the video editing and 3D calculations, filters of images, etc. ... A good thing, but not the beast of beasts (it would serve me for nothing).

well if it was 3000 dollars budget board I would even m17x with ati 4870 and in addition to the discount probably less than 2000 Euro base there already this graphics card to 2950 dollars. I think the basic config, he can shoot around 1700 can be a little less even whereas if the gtx 260 come back until after the end of the month and it is more difficult to negotiate it may be a Aurra m15x price or it could with the m17x Aurra this month

    Features

If not for the gt240m for cod AW2 no problem, the game is really well coded I did turn on an old map gaphic By cons crysis warhead will have to lower the detail! Already with the GTX 260 should drop slightly Details

If I can have it better in 2900. For the m17x, I'm not sure. The laptop is too heavy and more anyway, and screen size, the more it requires a battery, components, etc. ... but good to see. I will await the return of 260. Yes. Finally, although m15x to 2000 dollars, it does so. anyways thanks for the replies.

I saw that Apple was going to put in its i5 540m mac book pro. The MacBook Pro is more forward the video game (I want both), but say it is a sign. If Apple makes these two new procs also in its machines is that they should run cooler and be more efficient than first generation quad core i7. In addition, the rapid change in these new procs Dell makes me ask questions. If they are more reliable, and that the laptop is cheaper, it's worth it. Anyway, from what I understand, the transitional period is, am going to wait a few more months before I decide.

The I7 are far more efficient than the other I5 and I3, which are only variations of I7, in 3D and video applications claiming hearts want you in here. Some or all I5 have no right to hyperthreading. But they have the advantage of being less expensive for the integrator and for the moment the game claiming 4 processors are not legion. But it will happen someday. In short, if you're just playing this proc is for you. If you work with in the video and 3D, which passes m17x is I7. In short, I had the scent for my purchase nearly three weeks, I should go elsewhere because the m17x is too heavy. In this review I did for the m15x I7, you will find a bench near the end after effects that shows you the importance of the number of cores and hyperthreading.
