    F3-17600CL7D-4G***S issues

I picked up a configuration with an Asus motherboard M4A79XTD EVO 4GB Memory G. Skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL ((1600 MHz). Like a lot of others in the same case, I see the regular system freezes with the following message at reboot Overclocking failed. I am looking out some help on the same does this ram is fully compatible with this motherboard or there is some else issue. I am not able to overclock the ram.

Yes I agree with you, it usually indicated compatible AC is not given in the list of compatible memory support for the board. You must go for the documentation for the same. The solution for the same referred to reducing the ram frequency. That means changing the frequency of the Ram in the bios. I lowered the frequency and the system work stable at 1333 1600.

I have my ram that worked on the frequency lowered than what it should have worked. My ram is G.skill F3-BNQ-12800CL9 / DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 CL9-9-9-24 1.5-1.6V. My motherboard is an Asus Crosshair III and it accepts the 1600 overclocking frequency for the ram. I tried to put the correct frequency with Amd overdrive, and then the same settings were done in the bios. But there is some issue with the system.

You must better perform this a bit safely. For that increases slightly after the voltage is your type of ram. Or else the other way is to increases the timing down your fsb, it depends how you want o / c your ram. If you want the overclocking on your memory then just a little change in the frequency can help you to increase the voltage. RAM overclocking is not highly recommended.

To overclock your ram you can either increase the frequency or you drop your timing to make it work faster. But for that a good ram is preferable and you must use the same. More to increase the frequency or lower Timings can increases a little bit on the ram voltage (+0.1 v). At the same the AC will be more stable. Try to run OCCT and then check back again.

The brand is not the quality what you needed for overclocking. To overclock the RAM it must be mounted in general because the FSB CPU and RAM are synchronized to a factor. I saw on some BIOS which offers an option to select the frequency of the ram, but after verification software that is not the FSB is making things happen unless the software is corrupted or not enough strong to hold overclocking.

Try out a Corsair ram. I will recommend you to look for a sufficient quality to support good Timings for higher frequency. Overclocking is often to increase Timings run in its course. A side effect of overclocking is the increase in power consumption, this might burn out your hardware completely. First make sure that whatever system hardware you are using is compatible for overclocking.
