Intel core i7 920 2.57GHz performance dropped to 1.57 GHz

I am having an issue after the upgradation of the driver of the Intel core i7 920 whose performance was showing before is 2.57GHz and after the installation of the latest driver it is showing me the 1.57 GHz in the Intel processor identification utility. So if any one knows about the reason behind the same then please share with me. Thanks in advance.

I think you should have to work with the Windows Experience Index which is having the ability to take the score of the system that you are using. The Windows Experience Index will detect the individual score of the hardware of the system. So i am suggesting you to use the same and see whether you are getting the solution for same.

I am advising you to check out the processor temperature. If the processor clock speed of your system is not having the good clock speed then it means that there might be issue with the same so check the status of the processor clock and the speed of the same. I hope this will help you with the issue of the same.

The problem which you are getting is not with the update of the driver as it is not possible to happen the same with the upgradation of the driver which you are going through. Might be you are getting the wrong report. So check the processor performance once again with the Intel processor identification utility.

Firstly thanks to all of you for helping me out with the query of mine which i have asked about the Intel core i7 920 2.57GHz performance dropped to 1.57 GHz. I have gone through the processor detail like clock speed and let me tell you that it is all fine. Its nothing wrong in the performance. The utility is showing me the wrong status.
