compatible ram phenom x4 9850

Well i dont think its a RAM problem,ad theres no harm in a computer crashing once, u shud try it at a friend.

I am going to buy the ASUS m2a74-am MB, thinking of upgrading it to a Phenom II soon, but then i saw on their site that AM3 is partially supported due to the chipset, and this as written in only one place on the whole doc about this MB, with an astrik!!

when looking for the CPU it was a toss up between the AM2 or AM3 i decided that the AM2 would be a safe option as i know my MB can definatley take it.

when i checked on the website it showed my board was def compatible with that specific processor again that pushed me to buy it,

i am a novice with all this i know my way around it but not the ins and outs, i have spoken with a few people now and am assured the CPU is faulty, my MB def accepts the CPU and have tried several different sticks of ram
so annoying
