Hey guys i am planning to upgrade my current pc that is

    1.Core 2 Duo E4300(1.8ghz)
    2.Intel 945-GM motherboard
    3.2GB DDR2 at 667 mhz

To this new pc tell me if i am doing the right thing and plz tell me the best price for performance i dont want to spend too much thanx

    1.MSI 890FXA-GD70
    2.Phenom II x4 965 BE
    3.4GB DDR3 at 1333mhz

and my graphic card is sapphire radeon 4890 1GB.Some people told me that phenom II will bottle neck at 1440x900 resolution so they told to get an athlon ii x4 635 since its cheap and performs almost near phenom II range when overclocked a bit so what do you guys think plz help me with this thanx

I think the Phenom II x4 965 BE will be a better choice. With a memory controller dual-channel DDR3, it is compatible with DDR2 memory and manages the selection, memory type DDR2 PC8500 1066 MHz DDR3 memory type PC10600 1333 MHz. In fact, the memory controller onboard on Phenom may go higher in frequency and safely reach the 1600 MHz for example. It remains only internally, the maximum operating frequency of the memory controller is set at 2 GHz. For the record we note nevertheless that the Phenom X4 965 II operates at 3.4 GHz, where else the Core i7 975 Extreme Edition runs at 3.33GHz Intel.
