Desktop PC for web graphic work

I would like to assemble a new system for my web graphic work as well as little bit programming. Can you all suggest a configuration for above work? I prefer Intel.

Desktop: iMac
Portable/Laptop: MacBook (higher end White or Black) or MacBookPro (first tiers)

Desktop: iMac (higher end) or MacPro (professional movie editing, 3D animation, ect)
Portable/Laptop: MacBookPro (higher ends of the 15" or 17")
>> These computers are industry standard for running Logic Studio, Pro Tools, Adobe CS3 Web, Maya, Shake, Autocad (while using Bootcamp or Parallels)
