Comparison of E8600 with other intel processors

    Hi,
There are multiple processor right now in the market. The prices are also not low. Now the thing is I am going to get an Intel E8600 processor for my gaming computer. And it is for sure that I am definitely going to overclock it. As it is meant to be. Now I need some comparison of this processor with other too. It is might possible that some information can help me implement a better processor.

The E8600, despite could benefit from its original frequency higher than the average while the Q9650 would be supported by its cache of 12 MB, but what is the quality / performance / price There is no photo, the Q6600 is obvious. The difference is raging, is the price. The Q6600 is more affordable for a processor it has, no doubt, the best ratio quality, price, performance, etc.

E8600 has clock speed of 4.4 GHz. This processor, aided by his finesse burning, has a high potential side of the overclocking. The other Core 2 Duo is expected E5200. In contrast to the E8600 in the Penryn architecture, this entry model range, also 45nm, does about him only 2 MB of L2 cache, FSB of only 800 MHz and is clocked at 2.5 GHz.

The processor Q6600 offers a clock speed of 3.4GHz. Its original frequency is relatively low handicap for overclocking this processor that has trouble reaching the ankle of a E8600 origin but applications running the Quad Core will find all the same resources. Technically identical to the QX6700 Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Quad Q6600, however, should suffer the same problem as its big brother, the software environment is not yet optimized for this type of processors massively parallel.

And although all is not lost for the Quad Core consumer and surely the best is yet to come because today, more and more applications are developed in such a way as to fully exploit all four cores. This means that with a slight overclocking in the near future, owners of Q6600 will no longer be jealous of the owners of Dual Core.

The Dual Core are advantaged by lower heat and original frequencies generally higher, which means there are more suitable for overclocking, but as we said, the Quad Core would been beneficial to future applications that exploit (even with relatively low frequencies), and is already asleep and advantage in certain applications. So it's up to you, your choice should be based on commonly used applications and your desire for high frequencies.
