Is Intel Dual Core 2.6 compatable with 945 Gcnl motherboard

Hi, I want to purchase a new assembled computer for home use. On that I want to play high configuration required game. And when I going to work I should have to open 3 to 4 application. Which needs lots of processor speed, that why i have decided to get a combination of Intel mother board 945 GCNL and Intel Dual core 2.6. Can you it is the good combination or not?

    Hi,

    Go to with these links:

    http://www.intel.com/support/motherb.../CS-026727.htm

    http://processormatch.intel.com/Comp...dname=d945gcnl

To check if it is on the list please get the serial number of central processing unit.

If you found your CPU in the list, then you to note the bios version of cpu for work. In few cases, before using CPU you have to update you BIOS.

Yes, the D945 Gcnl motherboard is compatible with Intel Dual core 2.6 Central processor unit (CPU).And the Bios needs supported update for to much voltage by voltage regulator outputs or specification for voltage mod to work. There are also to many other ATI motherboards like RD 600 etc. Or you can go with Intel 965 motherboard will also works but there is 975 motherboard which are expensive.

By default it was selected to 533 mgz. But from when I select to 400 or 667 mhz my computer was not booting at stars beep sound comes and do not display any thing. The motherboard Intel G31 is mainly developed for desktop systems, and Intel pointed to the essentially for the computing. So this motherboard is not suitable for high end computing. But mainly it is developed for average users. So you can use this Intel G31 motherboard with Intel Dual core 2.6 ghz speed for home use. This motherboard also supports different types of Intel processors like Core 2 duo, Dual core or Celeron processors which are equivalent to two core processors.

Hyper Threading was gonig to dropped by Intel manufacturers, as really, there is no meaning fro hyper threading if you have dual core CPU. Because, forth coming Canore processor will not based on the hyper threading and it give 30-40 percent is growth over AMD processors offerings. But there is fake news on air that Intel will returns back on hyper threading for multi core processors systems. That why your combination is very good for home use.
