power supply xfx geforce 8600 gt

    My PC configuration

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 [ 2.4 Ghz ]
    Motherboard - Intel DG33FB
    Ram - 2GB DDR2 Transcend
Graphics Card - nVidia Geforce 8600 GT 512 MB DDR2
    Harddisk - 360 gb Seagate

And i got a cabinet of zebnronics antibiotic with a 400 watts supply. I got a power fluctuation problem light fluctuate a lot and yesterday i was playing game assassin's creed at night and there was no fluctuation problem then but computer turns off and didn't start again. i think it is a motherboard problem supply gets short and components like graphics card and pinnacle tv card is not running on other computers.

I think it is power supply issue. i have read that GeForce 8600 GT and Core 2 Quad Needs a 700 Watts supply. is it right. or i am wrong it is something else. please tell me as fast as u can. it is a matter of life and death.

A New change is seen that processor runs for few seconds (2 or 3 sec ) and then it turns off again runs for few seconds.

It is the problem of the power supply. I guess, due to insufficient power, load exceeded and the PSU blew up... See if you can get your computer working with a new PSU.
