Need to upgrade system from p4 to quad

Hi,

I have this configuration
P4 2.66 ghz processor
Intel chipset motherboard from His
1X512mb & 1X1gb DDR ram.
400watt psu
TV tuner card,
Sony Sata DVD writer
Samsung 80gb hdd

I want to upgrade the CPU.
Now I am looking for a good combination of CPU+MOBO+2GB RAM+PSU

Do I need new PSU?

What motherboard is best? what to look for in motherboard? PCI slots, memory slots, PCI express slot?
I want to do some gaming & video editing too.
What about Gigabyte p31 or P35? or any other?
Which is the best supporting processor? (Quad or core 2 duo which is best)

Ram will upgraded to 4 gb & graphic card afterwords.

Please suggest me some configuration.

If yo wan't to upgrade the CPU, you will need to upgrade the motherboard too. So go for Rampage II Gene motherboard from Asus with a Quad Core Processor. Also you will need to change the Graphics card if your is an AGP card.
