i have old laptop with 256 ddr memory ram i am looking to extend it memory but now i found that ddr 2 is chip and easterly available i want to know that can i use ddr 2 ram in ddr slot lfor my laptop ?

It is not possible to utilize ddr ram on ddr2 slot as both having different structure layout and some what frequency also so it is no possible to do so also if you going to use two ddr with different frequency that will also not work.

it is not possible i will suggest you to take your laptop to service center they will suggest you what is best because any small conflict in hardware can trouble you lot it my personal experience..

no possible, not just even for laptop it is apply to desktop also just check here DDR2 Ram Memory in DDR Slot
