Taiwanese hardware manufacturer Asus is the third son in his Cross Hair Formula Series delivered. The biggest change from the previous is the transition from an Nvidia chipset for AMD's own chipset. The heart of the motherboard is also from the 790FX chipset, which does work in conjunction with the SB750 south-bridge. This means that use of the Advanced Clock Calibration tool, which AMD cpu's on graphic may be higher than with motherboards that lack this feature. ACC is also in some cases to as a triple core cpu released a quadcore to make.
Since the motherboard is intended primarily for gamers and overclockers, there are two pci-e x16 slots are present, with two video cards in CrossFireX mode to be switched. Furthermore, there are three pci-e x1 slots and a single pci slot. The sound is provided by a SupremeFX X-Fi card in a pci-e x1 slot to be stabbed. On the motherboard itself, an on / off button and a reset button, and as usual, Asus also provides an LCD poster at which any errors during the post might be interpreted.
Asus showed that usually only one generation per ROG motherboard for AMD cpu's ban. It remains therefore to this board, although the development of a board with more than two pci-e x16 slots can not be excluded.
