Are Intel motherboard compatible with linux

I have got a Intel DP35DP motherboard and i want to know if this motherboard is compatible with Linux. Most old Intel motherboards were fairly compatible with all Linux versions but I have heard that some of the recent motherboards from Intel have some compatibility problems. Is it true? Can I use this motherboard for Redhat 9 without any problems?

You can go at RedHat linux site and check for the hardware compatibility list for RedHat 9.
    Try this, http://hardware.redhat.com/hcl/

A support page at Intel's web site shows a table of Intel desktop boards and supported OS's. According to that table, the following Intel desktop boards do not support Linux.
    D5400XS
    DX38BT
    DQ35MP
    DQ35JO
    DP35DP
    DG33BU
    DG33FB
    DG33TL
    DG31PR
    D975XBX2
    D975XBX

Most motherboards using the nForce 650i Ultra or 680i should work out well under Linux with the newer distributions. Some of the newer motherboards using the Intel Chipsets have some iffy compatibility problems. As long as you are running a newer distribution everything should be okay.
