    question Check with motherboard compatibility

mobo for my htpc arrived today and I'm afraid I may have ordered the wrong mobo. I'm using a socket 775 P4 3.0Ghz processor but the sticker on this box says it supports FSB 800Mhz socket 775 processor. Does that mean my 3.0Ghz is not going to be compatable?

    Its a foxconn 915PL7AE-8S.

I can't fathom they even made a P4 that ran at 800Mhz though? Maybe the sticker is wrong.

Its 800mhz FSB, which was a pentium 4, the prescott and cedar mills both had models with an 800mhz FSB. Any idea which model ur cpu is(530,630,631, etc)?

Just checked the processor I won and it says it is 800Mhz FSB hyperthreading so its compatable with this board. What the heck is FSB though?

The processor doesn't have the model number but it says its 3.00Ghz, 2Mb cache, 800Mhz FSB with hyperthreading.
