I will suggest you to go for Seagate Sata2 500GB (32MB buffer) hard disk instead of Western Digital Sata2 500 GB (16 MB Buffer). Seagate drives are more reliable than WD drives as far as reviews are to be believed and with my personal experience. Also 32MB buffer will be better performing than 16MB buffer.

It will cost you more... say about 3200/- but will be more future proof.
