Changing my motherboard, CPU and RAM

hello: Actually, I have a FX57 coupled with 2 gb of RAM and a 9600 GT and I want to change the configuration to give a fillip to the PC 4 years old!

    Proposed purchase (max: 200 €)
    P5QL-Pro
    Intel E5200
2 strips 1 GB Crucial Ballistix

It's worth it to buy the pieces or wait i7 prices down?

    Hi,

This may be worth .... even if the i7 will replace the old core2duo and quads
After all depends on the amount that you want to invest, see the duration of the material that you want to buy, if you change your gear every 4 - 5 years then have to see what applications you used? demanding resources, what other games .... You pose all these questions

Personal I have a good old p4 socket 478 running at 2.8Ghz with 1 gig of ddr 400 MHz to make some old games and editing photos and videos of both, and if not word and excel ...
So can see how you use your pc, then according to your expectations, choose what you think is best.

If windows xp take 3 gigabytes is better for video processing. If Vista go take 4 . if you can but a priori it is a card that goes up to 8 GB of RAM therefore no problem, it is evolving in this direction, as processor level in 2 years core2duo high end will be worth almost nothing, so you can change the dual by a process more efficient and exceeding the 2.53 ghz.

If you do the hd, taking graph ati cards, or if you prefer to focus on taking gaming nvidia.

For office, Internet ... no problems with the configuration you choose

I do HD (home cinema), multimedia, video games, office, internet. If I want to keep the FX57, I will be CPU limited?

Re: Changing my motherboard, CPU and RAM

For the latest video games your CPU is just because I have about the same, a A64 4000 + @ 2.9GHz (same heart, same cache), the fact of having only one heart is clearly limiting in recent games or when you run multiple demanding applications. However it's still a great processor and I need much in the immediate future (I do not run after the latest games out and I do one thing at a time)

I do HD (home cinema), multimedia, video games, office, internet
Apart from the recent games it is still more than enough for everything else, including the playback of HD video in H264 (well sometimes my processor is 100% in some films, but it's still fluid)
