No picture after installing a new board

    hi,
When a new motherboard was installed, then no image appears, the fans still running, then this is often in the small 4-pin P4 connector, which must necessarily be in addition to the normal 20/24 pin connector. This 4 pin connector supplies the CPU with power supply and without this will not happen much. As in the manual to see the first bolt is always (!) In bank B1 to put (the middle blue bank), then bolt No2 blue on the other bank, then another bolt on the black. Is not a bolt in the middle, blue bank then start the PC does not.If the memory is not correct it, comes through the speakers of the error "CPU test failed during overclocking"
    A1 (blue)
    A2 (black)
    B1 (blue)
    B2 (black)

Here is an image with the approximate location and type of plug:

In addition, should always be the CPU compatibility list various producers, he added should be considered. This is for each company under the given product quite easy to find. There you should see if the corresponding processor also works with the motherboard - and if so, should be examined from what BIOS revision that is the case. Often 1-2 newer updates have been released, the only reasonable work possible. These descriptions and instructions can be found on the manufacturer's site or even at the update as "readme".

None need have the fear that a wrong BIOS update for the loss of warranty. This is not the case, if the recommended updates from the manufacturers. Updates of any third party, however, lead to loss of warranty.

There are many different motherboards, a similar - if not almost identical - the name as well as other Her4stellers. This should already be closely compatriots. An ASUS P5B does not constitute an ASUS P5B Deluxe. Please keep in mind. An incorrect update is no longer feasible, since the Boards have appropriate safeguards.

You must first clear the cmos by moving the cmos jumper to clear & wait at least 10 seconds, than move the jumper back to normal. (See your manual for this).
