Biostar does not lose time to propose as its motherboard for AMD socket AM3, future compatible DDR3 Phenom II. This map TA790GX A3 + is equipped with a AMD 790GX chipset and the SB750 southbridge. It runs DDR3 memory up to 1600 MHz, has two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 for CrossFireX, and may manage the Phenom up to 140 W TDP.

Just an FYI to anyone having issues with this board. I'm using the TA790GX A3+ with a Phenom 965 and 2x@GB 1600 Patriot RAM. I replaced all 3 items (thanks to Fry's electronics for the simple returns) and still had stability issues using default BIOS settings. Once I turned off the G.P.U (Green Power Utility) i got rid of the reboot problems. I was getting kernel power error 41 messages.

Now it's quite stable even with 10% overclock on the CPU and RAM running at 1600.

The OS was both 32/64 bit versions of Win7.
