Connect Front USB To Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H

    Hi,

I just wanted to the front USB ports of my CS-1020-9A on my og connect and I had with the label did not come clear.

The labeling is in the manual:

    Code:
    Pin No Definition
    1 Power ( 5V )
    2 Power ( 5V )
    3 USB DX -
    4 USB DY -
    5 USB DX +
    6 USB DY +
    7 GND
    8 GND
    9 No Pin
    10 NC

The following inscription is on the connectors from the case:

    1. Cable VCC, Ground, D +, D -
    2. Cable VCC, Ground, + D, and D-Shield

How do I connect it now? Do I need two cables to connect a USB connector or a cable connector?

I hope it can help someone.

    hi,

On the connection of the boards can be a 'port' two 'USB connector' connect.

That would mean for you that you have both cable on a plug Pinfeld can.

Your question is now in the ports or the label?
The way I see things is true, as follows:

    Power = VCC
    DX + / - = + /-D
    DY + / - = + /-D
    Ground level Ground.

The main thing cable you correctly on the pins plug:
So the first cable on my DX + D + and D-then-DX. Ground and VCC I would also 'in the corresponding series' plug.
Similarly, then the other cable to the plug-DY.

What exactly 'Shield' to mean, I can not tell you.

But everything is at your own risk!

Then I hope, too. Did I in any case have been helpful but maybe someone could confirm again and tell me where the "Shield" reach.

    hi,
Covered the plug would be standardized?

On my Tower was precisely the plug on the pin (No. 9) where "No Pin" is tight, so to speak. So you could not plug in upside down. Some plugs have a small marker to pin 1, so this is a clue.

    hi,
you could simply omit Shield, I have at my front USB port does not have such a plug. Should still work
There are single connector, pin for each one.

If the plugs are individual, then it determines the color-coded?
    For me, for example,

    Black - Power 5v
    Coffee Brown - 5v Power
    Orange - USB DX --
    Red - USB DY --
    Green - USB DX +
    Yellow - USB DY +
    Gray - GND (Ground)
