OCZ Apex, with a SSD Raid 0

Apex has always been active in the NAND flash segment, predicts the next launch of a SSD some 'detail'

The solid-state disks are now becoming a topic of daily debate, and releases of new products based on chip performance or increasing capacity, alternate only to those who see the company engaged in developing technologies to extend the life of its own solutions.

OCZ, the Californian company, in the flash memory segment, we believe a lot and, in addition to invest most of its resources for development and research of new memory modules RAM, is also one of the most active market SSD. The company is aware of the fact that one of the most discriminatory for the dissemination of solid-state solutions is the price too high, especially when compared to the "brothers" traditional disks. In this sense, the market will soon Apex, a SSD some 'detail.

The company is to be able to provide a solution that was able not only to present performance of the first floor, but also an attractive, so he decided to rely on already established and old proposal Core V2, using a small but functional stratagem. Using two of these disks, and integrating them into a single product, OCZ has decided to configure them in RAID 0. The discussion by showing the next arrival of the product is found to this address.

The chart proposed by OCZ itself, highlights the benefits that the unit is able to achieve.

The disc, which should be presented officially in the coming weeks is expected by early next year, at a price that OCZ is keen to stress, it will be very competitive.

I thought that the various memory modules that make up the SSD were already used by the internal disk controller as a kind of raid 0 ...

actually today the real glue bottle of PC hard drives are already with a good RAID 0, you can tell a lot of difference, of course if these SSD were more affordable would be the maximum, but sooner or later will fall in price.

The thread linked it comes to capacity 30.60120250 GigaByte, for the prices will be aligned to those in the V2 range of OCZ, probably a bit higher at launch
