No CDs can be found in any drive (or no (USB/Firewire) CD-ROM drives are listed). In this case, when using Windows 2000 or XP, download from Nero the WNASPI32.DLL ( ftp://ftp6.nero.com/wnaspi32.dll ) and put it into the directory where EAC is installed (search for EAC.EXE). In
EAC options / Interface select "ASPI" and restart EAC (perhaps you can also try different interfaces). When using Win 95/98/ME, try to install a different version of Adaptecs ASPI, or try ASAPI from Pinnacle (should also work for Win2000/XP) which can be downloaded at
ftp://ftp.pinnaclesys.de/driver/pc/I...DDVD/ASAPI.exe or ftp://ftp.steinberg.net/download/pc/...ates/ASAPI.exe. It can be possible that you need to have ASAPI already installed for the update... Select "ASAPI" in EAC options / Interface and restart EAC.

Is this the problem only with the external CD Rom drive all with all the USB devices. If all the USB devices are not detected, that means there is problem in the USB port. If only the CD Rom is not detected then the problem is in that CD Rom itself. Check it first.
