    Ram issue with Vista 64 bit

    I am having Windows Vista 64 bit and 4 gb of ram on my system. My problem is that Vista does not reads full 4gb of ram? It always show somewhat lesser. Please explain me why is this happening. Also my system sometimes shows bsod, don't know why.

    Enable memory remap function in your bios settings. Along with the BIOS one thing, check your memory using memtest86 to see if any of the sticks are faulty. OS has nothing to do with your problem.
