How can i test my RAM on my pc?

I have 2x 512 MB DDR RAM sticks.
I get an error something like referenced memory at 0X00163cc8 that could not be read. Now i want to know if any software available to solve this problem or to know what exactly is wronge?

Have you tried swapping your ram sticks? & plugging ram sticks again in their place?
Try this & see what happens & tell us if you still get this error.

What i can suggest you is if you are comfortable go to the bios settings & try to increase the memory voltage by 0.1 voltage.
