    Intel motherboard suddenly stops

I have got this motherboard : Intel Desktop Board D860PERL,,,,,,I just tried to change the case for it, now it does not work.

I unplug all the cables (CD and HD ,,the FAN does not spin (some time just start to spin and then stops) . I removed the cmos battery does not fix the issue.

I tried another power supply same thing still going on.

I have got another motherboard it behaved same thing with both power supplies? I do not know if I did something wrong with cablings ?

For the CPU fan to work (testing) do we need to connect the cables to a front panel jumper,,,,,I do not thing so,,,,,but I did connect them

I took the motherboard out the case (It might be shorting against the case) but that did not change the issue that I am experiencing

Changing the case wont affect the working of motherboard. A doubt could have been of wrong cabling, but that again confuses because that would have never run the system. But you said that the fan does spin sometimes and then stops. This gives me doubt that while changing the case, there must have been some physical damage to some part of that motherboard due to which it stopped working.

I had faced exactly the same problem twice with my motherboard. The fan would start at once and would stop instantly. Both the times there was problem in the motherboard which i got repaired from a computer hardware specialist.

This problem doesn't seem to be anywhere related to the CMOS battery issues.

Thats something strange. Had you ensured proper cabling while carrying out this. If both motherboards facing same problem, I doubt the cabling you did
