Pentium 3 and RAM

I have an old Intel pentium III 501 mhz. My sister have an old computer with 1 gb RAM. So can i use that 1 gb Ram on my machine?

What do you mean by type of RAM. what i know is that ram is a 1 gb ram & it will speed up my computer right?

Please look on the RAM chip what the model/speed/specs are?
You can just put a memory stick in your motherboard & expect it to work.
There are some compatibilities that should be checked before changing any hardware component.
