My computer is very old. Most of the time it don't even boot. Sometimes it starts Windows XP but shows an error message that OS is not found.
I think my motherboard is the culprit?

Your hard drive could be the culprit also either the Windows installation has been corrupted or may be the hard drive taking its last breath.
Just try to repair your Windows installation with the CD and see what happens.
Might be the cable issue. Just be sure that all the cables are properly connected and are in good conditions.
That could be the power issue. The power might be getting short or might be your psu which is in its last stage. I suppose that as your computer is old, your psu should also be older so try using some different psu either from your friends or something similar and see if the problem still persists.
Thanks Marthaz, you solved my problem. Actually it was my psu which was causing me that problem.
Thanks once again.![]()
