8800 GT Fan Touching Another PCI Slot?!

Recently purchased an 8800 GT and can't get it to work. I have a feeling I'm not installing it correctly, as my PC won't boot up at all (not even the BIOS) when it's in there. Anyway, I feel like it's not fitting into the slot very well and my suspicion is that the flippin' massive fan is actually bumping into the PCI slot next to the PCI-E slot. I can't confirm this, as I can't see into the case that well, but it seems like it. However, I can't imagine any manufacturer would actually design a card with that problem. With that said, does anyone have any idea of what I could be doing wrong? Thanks.

Actually, I think I pinpointed the problem. Even though I have a 550W PSU, the 12V is only 18W. The recommend power output for an 8800 GT is 26A, huh? Is it safe to assume that's the problem?
