    nVidia WDM Video Capture(universal) !

I am trying to install Geforce card but am getting errors continuously. This was meant for capturing medias like videos. But i am helpless with the installation not working.

To add for more information, i had installed WDM drives. Those are nVidia TVAudio & WDM A/V Crossbar, TVtuner and WDM universal Video Capture. But to mention that only the last oneis not working. Also the device manager shows exclamation mark in its place. How to solve this problem?

The exclamation mark in device manager denotes that the drivers for that specific device are not installed properly. Also if the drivers are installed correctly, there is sometimes resource conflicts in that drivers or device.

I feel if you call manufacturers of that specific device, they will provide you with the best way to install it properly. Just do one thing before that. Uninstall all the current drivers of that device thru Safe Mode and then ensure that the device is completely removed. Then install it as per the directions from the manufacturers.

I had the same problem after installing ALL the drivers that came with my GeForce FX 5200. It then dawned on me that I didn't have a video capture device. Go to add/remove programs and remove the Nvidia WDM video capture drivers and you will then find everything will work with no errors.

If you install the WDM drivers from the install disk and don't have a video capture device, the software assumes you do (or why would you have installed the drivers). It then tells you that it can't install the drivers end gives you the 'wdm video capture (universal) code 10 error'.
A sort of Catch 22 situation. Good luck hope this helps.

I had similar problem with my Geforce card some time back. It used to ask me for the video capture device. I then removed the drivers of WDM video capture of Nvidia and thenafter everything worked fine. Then i realized that it gave me code 10 error because the WDM drivers were installed from the disk provided and i didnt had video capture device, while the software was searching for that only.

Try doing this. This might solve your problem.
