wouldn't your games be cpu bound anyway ? which restricts the power of your GPUs.

I have Overclocked the CPu to 2.6GHz,steady.
So CPu wont be a bottleneck according to me.

I dont stay in B'lore,i stay in Pune,bad luck.

Try to get one of these newer 8ms or 12ms refresh timing lcd monitors with DVI inputs. 17 or 19 inch ur choice. Viewsonic, samsung, lg should be good enough.
the image quality is breathtaking and no problems in games due to the low timmings.

I cant afford a LCD monitor dude, i am totally broke.I need to save for a decent Heatsink too.

@Stalker -I am using 71.24 version drivers.

Nope.Right now the following cards are supporting SLI,
Nvidia Geforce 6600GT PCX
Nvidia Geforce 6800GT PCX
Nvidia Geforce 6800 Ultra PCX.

I am unaware of ATI supporting anything similar.

But franky, how often are you able to take out the time for playing if you've got a job that enables you to buy 2 6800s

Well i dont do a job.We have a family Business,i work with my dad and deal in PC hardware as its my hobby.I build High end systems if someone wants one and is ready to shell out money but cant build one on his own.This is just for my Hobby,thats all.

I totally agree with you.About the 6600GT, a friend of mine bot it.I built a similar system for him only difference being he has 2 x 6600GT in SLI.Sold that card for 17k

These cards are not OFFICIALLY available in India.I mean the PCI-Express version.

These cards were arranged specially for me by my friend,dealer, Rupam Mehta.He is registered on TA in the name-
"BOSS"

I am very much thankful to him for arranging these cards for me at a very reasonable price.

He is the authorised dealer for XFX in Pune Area.

Well the SLI bridge is provided by the MoBo supplier only.

There is nothing wrong in it.

hey darklord. do you have heat issues?
You should invest in a good CPU cooler now with 2 GFX running in your system.
Whats your cabinet? and whats your PSU?
The only thing that kept me away from SLI is prices of PCI express 6800GT.
You got it for really awasome price. Thats almost same as AGP card.
Oh well for now I am sticking with my X800XT PCI express. Will think of SLI next time around

The next TA meet is definitely going to be held at pune .

masky, if you can make it there even for a few hours your chances of "Doing your Good deed" will increase greatly.

remember no pain no gain.

Since that good fella that darky is, he would be taking us for a tour of some historic places near pune, in the mean time you will have your chance to make "History".

So let me know ur ETA ......psst dont tell darky about this, else he will replace this "antique" piece with an ultra super celeron m/c when we visit.
