    GTX 960 vs GTX 970

I am looking to build a new computer and after checking the graphics card I am unsure whether to go with the GTX 960 or GTX 970? I was going to buy the GTX 960 card but many of my friends told me to go with the GTX 970 video card because its 4GB or something. For GTX 970, there is no doubt that I have to shell another $100+ dollars but I wanted to know if it is worth it than the GTX 960? I would be playing latest games like Far Cry 4, Assassins Creed Unity and also stream it online. Thanks

There has been some problems with the GTX 970 with stuttering and memory issues. As for playing games like Far Cry 4, etc, you dont really require to go for a video card that costs more than $100+, even the GTX 960 would be able to handle all this kind of games at high settings. There is no doubt that both graphics card have great value but seriously, you dont really have to shell that much of amount for a card that has some issues.

Can you please tell us what is your current technical specifications that you are going to build? Once we will know what you are planning to purchase then we can make a positive suggestions to match the graphics card accordingly. As far as I know all the future games and Far Cry 4 will easily run by a GTX 960 card and you will even get 1440 resolution with this graphics card as well. You dont really have to purchase the GTX 970 for gaming.

Re: GTX 960 vs GTX 970

I have recently heard that one of the released game is soon going to get a DirectX 12 patch soon, I dont remember the name of the game but. I dont know if GTX 960 will support the DirectX 12 or not but surely the GTX 970 is going to get it. But since this card doesnt give the whole 4GB Vram because of some issue, it will be better to go with the GTX 980 card which costs a little more than a 970.
