best graphics card for 4K display

I am soon going to purchase a 4K display namely Samsung U28D590D monitor. Because it has a 4K display so to get the full resolution I believe that I will also need a graphics card? Right now I have got the built-in Intel HD 4000 with core i5. So, do you think that I would require a video card for same? I usually dont like to play games on my computer but I do a lot of photoshop these days. So, if anyone can suggest me some cheap card it will be appreciated. Thank you

Can you first of all tell us what is the current computer specifications you are using? What motherboard, how much RAM, etc are you using and most importantly how much is your power supply wattage? I think that if you want to get a 4K resolution then you will require a powerful graphics card for sure. You can try to go with the Radeon R7 250 video card which is going to work best with any computer and the 4K monitor for sure.

You can try to go with the Evga GTX 750Ti graphics card which can easily support the 4K monitor and the plus point is that it also comes with a DisplayPort. But note that it will not be able to run any games at 4K resolution but anyhows you dont want to play games on your machine so it will be just alright. The best part is also that, it only needs a 300Watt power supply so you will be able to run it without any issues. You should also try to upgrade your PSU to minimum of 650Watts if you have below this category.

Even I was going to recommend you a GTX 750 TI card because it comes at a very cheap price and can push pixels upto 4K for movies and everything else, except games. When you will play any movies then it will only run at 24FPS so a 30hz will be better but you should get 60hz or 120hz when you will go with 1080p, 1440p or 1600p. But since you are not going to play any games on your pc then you dont require anything higher than 30hz. This video card is all set for streaming videos and using general computer at 4K resolutions.
