black screen with AMD Radeon R9 290X

I am using a new AMD Radeon R9 290X for my gaming purpose. But when ever I am playing any games for more than 2 hours then I will start getting black screen continuously. The sound if the game in the background keeps running so its definitely has to do something with the graphics card. I have a Corsair 750W PSU, i5 core processor and 8gb of RAM. Is there anyone who has got some solution for this problem? Thanks

Have you overclocked the cards at a very high rate? Also, which version of the Radeon driver have you installed for the card? Try to switch to uber mode and see if the problem still happens. I have heard that there is some sort of driver problem with the fan profiles which makes the fan to spin at any random interval that cannot be judged.

It seems to me that the problem might be because of some power issue. This definitely doesnt look like a software problem but a hardware problem and many people are facing black screen issue with R9 290X. Every people from that I have heard have installed the latest driver and some of them are facing this issue. Well, since the problem is from the card itself then better get a refund.

I found out that if you have a Raptr installed, which is a social networking website and instant messenger for video game players, then uninstall it quickly. If that doesnt work then try to change the drivers to the latest. I am asking you all to do this because when I tried to launch Battlefield 4 on my pc then it asked me to update to 13.9 graphics driver and after doing this the game started fine.
