Upgrading HP TouchSmart 610-1030y graphics card

Hi, I am using a HP TouchSmart 610-1030y for quite some time now and it is working great without any problems. I was actually hoping that I could upgrade its graphics a further so that it can be useful for me for editing videos and playing some games on it. So does anyone know if it is compatible with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 GPU adapter? Thanks for any information in advance.

The HP TouchSmart 610-1030y comes with an integrated One Mobile PCI Express Module (MXM) Intel HD Graphics. So, it could be possible to install either a MXM video card on it or perhaps not. The computer that you have also doesnt have Thermal Module Assy to support any MXM card, so the card might not work but from HP OEM the card can be sourced. About ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 GPU, it will definitely not work in this touchsmart desktop pc.

The bad thing about all-in-one desktop computers like HP touchsmart series are not able designed to be upgraded to any other parts except for the RAM upgradation. Actually, all this series of touchsmart desktop pc's have everything integrated on the motherboard itself, so you cannot change put anything. You wont be able to find any PCIE slots as well for high end graphics card on these kind of boards.

Yes, what ever written in the above post it is correct. This is the reason why people buy assembled computer where they can upgrade any other hardware peripherals if they want to. And if you go with branded pc, then the parts are based on the OEM manufacturers, which cannot be upgraded at all in the future, leaving us no choice but to buy a complete new computer.
