black spot in monitor

a black spot is generated few days ago in my AOC monitor ( purchased on Oct 2010 model noE2043FS )
Please guide me how to overcome it.

It might be possible that the monitor is loosing signal, so what you need to do is check cable connections or perhaps try to change the cable. Do you by any chance use a DVI to DSUB convertor or so? Try to also ensure that you have the proper resolution for the games you want to play and change the refresh rate of the monitor as well.
