Guys I wanted to know what is the maximum temperature for Radeon Hd 6870, actually I am willing to get the same by this week but thing that is worrying me up that in afternoon my room temperature reaches up to 45 degree. So I wanted to know if that will be safe for the card as there are chances of getting overheated sooner because of high room temperature, any ideas?

I don’t think there will be any issue because of the room temperature as Radeon Hd 6870 can stable up to 105 degree but it is not recommended to run it that high for a long time. You can try increasing the fan speed and then use it continually until its temperature is below 90 degree. If you run the fan high at 70 to 80 percent then I don’t think that your card temperature will go above 80 degree. You can get it without any doubt.

Actually my room temperature reaches 45 degree in summer otherwise it stays below 25. I mostly use my system in the morning and in the night as I need to go to my office but my kids use it for gaming throughout the noon. That’s what worrying me up, they have already burnt an old video card in summer which was not as good as Radeon Hd 6870. I can’t stop them from gaming but all I can do is get a better card and that’s the reason I was planning to get Hd 6870, I just hope it doesn’t let me down.

No worries "Teelak", Hd 6870 won’t get burnt as it is capable of staying stable upto 105 degree but I can’t guarantee if your kids run it like that for hours. Radeon Hd 6870 is quite a good card and I have been using it for some months, I will like to inform you that even my room temperature stays between 35 to 40 degrees in summer but I have never faced any issue because of that. I just make sure that I am not running the card over 90 degree as already mentioned above. I manage to keep the card stable at 80 degree while gaming as well by running the fans at 70 percent. The fan so make a bit noise but I don’t mind as long as I am gaming.
