ati radeon hd 4290 will not work with aero in windows 7

My video card seems to have a issue with aero in windows 7.The problem is the taskbar a solid color and when aero is on its clear.Every time we restart the computer it says aero is having problems.The error is qttask.exe pid-3464
it says its a apple process.We will run the program that will diagnosis the problem.So is it a video card or the apple program?

Well, do you have stardock installed on your pc by any chance, if so then try uninstalling the same and see if that works. If that isnt the case then try to uninstall all apple software, such as itunes, quicktime and some other that might be installed in your system and then check if the aero is working fine or not.

The problem is that I have a iphone so I would like to keep itunes and quicktime.

Was Aero working properly before in your windows 7 system with ati radeon hd 4290? As suggested try uninstalling all apple software and then see if aero works, if it does then install back all the apple software and then test whether aero isnt working or not. Have you even tried to install the latest graphics driver on your pc?

The problem I think happend after we installed the latest driver with windows updates.
